About this opportunity The ID&Auth Authentication Platform is at the forefront of ensuring secure and seamless login experiences for internet banking, open banking, commercial banking, and more. This is an exciting time to join our team with significant investments in enhancing our authentication services on a Cloud-based platform. We are seeking to recruit a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) within the Authentication Platform. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with our existing SRE team to ensure strong observability across our services using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Kubernetes. Additionally, you will work with cloud technologies like Azure and GCP, as well as on-premises solutions like OpenShift on mainframe. You will work closely with the wider team to embed SRE principles, delivering secure, robust, and reliable infrastructure and features to our customers. You will help our service teams understand the root causes of incidents and strive to eliminate manual tasks through automation and process improvements. Specific activities will include: Observability, investigating & fixing service issues, with an engineering mentality – resolving via code changes in some cases directly and in others by working with software engineers. Increasing our observability by identifying gaps and serving as an expert on discussion around logging, meta-data, and response codes, creating dashboards and custom alerts/metrics in our APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace and Splunk). Implementing further automation and reducing toil. Hands-on engineering, maintaining our Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipeline-based product and services by responding to change, implementing enhancements & improving reliability and customer experience. What we need from you: A strong grasp of the key concepts of Site Reliability Engineering. Public cloud knowledge, OpenShift, Azure, GCP Good working knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace (Preferred) or AppDynamics You’ll have a keen interest in understanding all the working parts of an application, from code to infrastructure and able to identify pain points and where improvements can be made. Good grasp on technologies including cloud, databases, microservices, networking, Linux, infrastructure as code and other areas.
