POSITION SUMMARY:
Join our Aftermarket team in Skelmersdale as a Warehouse Operative, where you’ll be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching goods for our export department. You’ll bring great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, a can-do approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment. Awareness of Health & Safety, ability to lift heavy objects, and experience in a similar role are desirable. MHE licences and WMS knowledge would be a bonus, but training can be provided. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Live and role model the company values and culture at all times.
2. Ensure that the right parts are picked and packed to the agreed performance levels.
3. Ensure that all parts are visually to the required quality standard before being packed and dispatched to the customer.
4. Take delivery of goods and supplies, including checking for damaged or missing items.
5. Safely store goods through the use of manual or operational manoeuvre, including moving stock around by hand, using the correct manual handling PPE or a forklift/Scissor Lift truck.
6. Pick and pack orders.
7. Keep paperwork up to date and maintain accurate records of stock, highlighting any discrepancies that may have occurred.
8. Participate in maintaining an agreed housekeeping standard, including the cleaning of work areas.
9. Comply with any current or new operating processes and procedures.
10. Work to achievable targets based on productivity and quality.
11. Comply with Health and Safety legislation.
12. Work with and support continuous improvement activities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
1. Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative is essential.
2. MHE licence is essential for this role or willing to undertake.
3. NVQ or equivalent in Warehouse or Logistics operations is desirable or a willingness to undertake.
4. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
5. An awareness of H&S legislation and individual/company requirements.
6. Confident, flexible, and willing to work.
7. Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
