To carry out secretarial duties in support of the legal partners and solicitors in our North Berwick office. You must have excellent audio and copy typing skills for this role. A flexible attitude is also required as you may need to help in other departments from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audio typing and the production of accurate, timely and professionally presented documentation;
2. Administer filing including daily filing; opening, closing and retrieval of client files;
3. Liaising with accounting staff in respect of related queries, invoicing, recording payments & receipts;
4. Diary management of fee earners as required;
5. Reception cover including dealing with the overflow telephone calls on a daily basis;
6. Client communication via the telephone, accurately recording messages and providing assistance where possible;
7. The efficient upkeep of all databases, records, filing systems, along with the opening and closing of files.
Skills for the Role
1. Audio/Copy typing experience, ideally with speeds of 60wpm plus;
2. Excellent organisational skills with exceptional communication skills;
3. You will have excellent IT skills; including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook;
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
5. Ability to work under pressure within a target orientated environment with minimal supervision.
