Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include providing support to students with special educational needs. This involves assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans, helping students with their learning activities, and providing emotional and social support when needed. You will also be required to contribute to the overall learning environment and ensure the well-being of the students. Required Qualifications: - Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs - Good understanding of SEN strategies and techniques - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Education: - Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent Experience: - Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: - Knowledge of SEN policies and procedures - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Patience and empathy towards students with SEN Preferred Qualifications: - First Aid certification - Additional training in SEN support Working Conditions: You will primarily work within a school setting, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the educational development of students with special needs.
