Who we are.
Every day, around 300 people are diagnosed with macular disease. It’s the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK. Macular disease is cruel and isolating. It steals your sight, your independence, and your ability to do the things you love.
We are the specialist charity for people with macular conditions. It is our duty and responsibility to work to find a cure for macular disease and to offer the best advice and support to everyone who needs us.
About the role.
The Director of Services is a pivotal role that will lead the transformation of our services across the UK. This will help us significantly increase our reach and impact and transform the lives of more people with macular disease.
As a critical member of the Executive team, you will play a central part in delivering on that aim by leading a team of 36 and a budget of c.£2 million.
Who we are looking for.
We are looking for an experienced strategic leader from a health or social care setting in the not-for-profit, private, or public sectors who understands the importance of tackling macular disease and the impact that the disease has on people’s lives across the UK.
You will be able to demonstrate outstanding people skills, with a track record of developing and leading a high-performing team and building relationships with funders, partners, and sector peers.
