Front of House Manager
The Front of House Manager is responsible for managing a team that develops, implements, and continuously improves quality, training, customer experience programs, cash reconciliation, and sometimes the check-in (camera) department to enhance accuracy. They ensure safety, security, and compliance with all State and Local regulations. This role executes initiatives to meet all hospitality goals at PharmaCann.
The Front of House Manager is an expert in their responsibilities within specific divisions of the business. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented professional with a successful track record of implementing continuous improvements to increase efficiency and customer/patient satisfaction. They should be capable of building and maintaining effective teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and demonstrating superior leadership and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
1. Develop high customer experience standards, fostering a customer-oriented culture and leading customer engagement through sales training and product knowledge.
2. Implement a world-class customer service program to encourage repeat business via community networking and customer data collection.
3. Collaborate with GM and other managers to exceed sales volume and KPI goals.
4. Coordinate with cross-divisional managers to ensure proper staffing and meet payroll goals.
5. Audit cash procedures related to deposits and daily cash reconciliation.
6. Supervise check-in/camera team to maintain safety and dispensary standards.
7. Ensure merchandise presentation standards and menu availability are current.
8. Ensure smooth daily operations and strategic execution through the store team.
9. Work closely with other managers to achieve organizational goals.
10. Establish and enforce operational policies and procedures for retail staff.
11. Ensure staff understands and adheres to corporate processes and SOPs, providing necessary education.
12. Partner with HR for recruiting, training, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions, maintaining organized documentation.
13. Assist with other duties as assigned, including functions like call center, inventory, outreach, security, and visual merchandising.
14. Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
15. Embody PharmaCann’s culture, values, and purpose.
Starting pay is $25-27/hr.
Competencies and Qualifications
1. Minimum 21 years of age (or per state regulations).
2. Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management, or a related field preferred.
3. Store management experience preferred.
4. At least 2 years supervising training, quality, and customer service in retail; 1 year PharmaCann supervisory experience may substitute for 2 years.
5. Minimum 4 years retail experience, including front-end and inventory responsibilities.
6. Proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Experience with P&L management.
8. Strong knowledge of retail technology platforms and systems.
9. Analytical skills to assess data and develop strategies for business improvement.
10. Business acumen, effective communication, time management, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
11. Proven leadership, relationship management, and performance management skills.
12. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
This role operates in a professional retail environment, involving standard office equipment. It requires flexibility for weekends, nights, overtime, holidays, and some travel. The ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily is required.
