Job overview
Exciting opportunity to be a part of a Familial Hypercholesterolaemia (FH) testing programme in Buckinghamshire, conducted by the Consultant Lipid clinic in collaboration with BOB-ICB and West Midlands FH services.
This is a part-time Band 7 nursing position, 1-2 days/week commencing April 2025 to help the Consultant Lipid Clinic for Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) case finding. Training will be provided and the post will be initially a fixed-term for 12 months. Previous Lipid clinic and clinical experience around Familial hypercholesterolaemia is valuable. If you have been working in Cardiology, Stroke or Vascular units, this would be an additional plus point to this post.

This post holder will work closely with the Lipid Clinic Consultants to provide professional clinical service management expertise to develop the Bucks FH service. The post holder will collaborate with region-wide stakeholders to develop and set up the Bucks FH service ensuring that processes put in place are robust, safe and provide a high-quality service to patients and achieve the objectives of the Bucks FH service.

* Registered Nurse educated to degree level or willingness to undertake (desirable – research module/masters degree)
