Gear4Music are recruiting for a full-time, permanent Product Specialist for their own brand products, based at their headquarters in Holgate, York.

It’s an exciting to time to join us and become part of the company’s rapidly expanding house brands team. To support our growth plans we are looking for Product Specialists to join our R+D centre in York. You’ll work with innovative and dynamic product and design teams to bring innovative, market leading musical instruments and pro audio equipment to market. Gear4music’s house brands cover a broad range of products from guitars, drums, keys, to PA, lighting, DJ and studio equipment. Even home cinema and hi-fi! You’ll be a driving force towards the successful launch of cutting-edge products and the continued development of the house brand’s catalogue.
Some daily roles and responsibilities may look like the below:
* Researching and analysing market trends and commercial opportunities to identify and maximise opportunities.
* Active involvement leading multiple simultaneous new product design projects from concept to launch, to bring out the perfect product to market.
* Work with internal teams and overseas supply chains to analyse product specifications, commercials and investment budgets to deliver best value procurement.
* Liaise with other internal departments as the spokesperson for house brand products, presenting new products and troubleshooting existing product criteria.

* A passion for musical instruments and/or pro audio equipment, with a particular focus on how they function.
* Proven previous success in new product development.
* Strong project management with the ability and tenacity to see projects through from concept to delivery.
* Naturally inquisitive with an entrepreneurial mind-set, you will enjoy exploring new innovative commercial ideas.
* Organised, excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
* Self-driven with the able to make considered commercial decisions.
