As a Senior/Lead Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the essential infrastructure that supports services. The team combines modern software development practices with extensive experience in the Defence and security sectors. Clients have intricate and sensitive data and information needs, requiring a partner who can quickly understand the context and deliver and sustain a portfolio of challenging technology projects at scale and pace, supporting them through an ambitious digital transformation programme.
Responsibilities:
* Engage in hands-on development and contribute to the code base, including peer code reviews.
* Design software features to align with the product roadmap and articulate design decisions.
* Break down large tasks into manageable pieces to be implemented in an Agile manner.
* Set up and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
* Present development work to internal and external stakeholders.
Looking for:
* Practical experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, or Python.
* Knowledge of Cloud-based architectures in AWS or Azure.
* Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
* Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB.
Security clearance:
You must already hold highest level of UK government clearance.
