Job Description Job Title: Litigation Lawyer (Civil Litigation Bias) Location: Essex (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (Depending on Experience) About the Team: Our Client is a Legal 500 law firm with offices located across Essex. We are currently looking for an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join their established team. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer with a civil litigation bias to contribute to the continued growth and success of their department. The Role: As a Litigation Lawyer, you will be primarily responsible for managing a civil litigation caseload, with the opportunity to gain exposure to commercial litigation as well. You will handle cases involving: Debt recovery Negligence claims Landlord and tenant matters Civil disputes Boundary disputes In addition to this predominantly civil litigation workload, there is potential for involvement in commercial litigation for candidates with some commercial experience. You will be expected to work independently, managing your caseload with minimal supervision, while also assisting the director with more complex matters. Key Responsibilities: Manage a variety of civil litigation cases, from inception to resolution. Build and maintain excellent client relationships, while actively growing your client base. Contribute to marketing activities to support both personal and departmental growth. Provide high-quality advice and ensure the efficient management of client matters. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have solid experience in civil litigation, with a demonstrated ability to manage the areas listed above. You should be capable of working independently, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail. Experience in marketing activities and self-promotion will be a distinct advantage, as the role involves a proactive approach to client development. We’re also looking for someone who can: Work with minimal supervision. Assist in complex cases led by the director. Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills.
