What you'll do
As a Tanker Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transport of fluid to and from specified sites. But what makes this position truly unique, is the opportunity to work a permanent shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, days and nights, keeping your work schedule fresh and exciting. Working this shift pattern will allow you to plan your personal/work life balance well in advance.
With over 400 water recycling centres and 2,000 sewage pumping stations, we treat over 888 million litres of sewage every day. You will be responsible for transporting this sewage sludge while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and keeping costs low by collecting the product from the correct place and on schedule. In addition to transporting sewage sludge, you may also be called upon to engage in emergency driving in the event of breakdowns.
What you'll need
This role requires you to:
1. have a clean Class 2 HGV, as a main role, however a class 1 HGV would be advantageous
2. be qualified or working towards your Drivers CPC
3. have knowledge of VOSA regulations
4. be computer literate
5. flexibility in working schedule as this role will cover a day and night shift pattern, 4 on 4 off days and nights.
