Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Accountant with experience in retail to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and a good understanding of retail operations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial management while supporting the retail team in achieving their goals.
Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee financial transactions related to retail operations
* Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets
* Ensure accuracy of accounts payable and receivable
* Process and reconcile sales transactions and inventory records
* Assist in financial planning and forecasting for retail operations
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve retail performance
* Collaborate with retail management to develop and implement financial strategies
* Assist with stock replenishment and merchandising from a financial perspective
Skills
* Proficiency in financial accounting and accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or PeopleSoft
* Strong financial management and analytical skills
* Experience in retail financial operations and inventory management
* Ability to mentor and train staff on financial procedures and best practices
* Knowledge of retail financial services and reporting
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
