Vale View is a day centre for older people located in Lancaster, offering a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for up to 30 clients daily. About the Role In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be supporting the Unit Catering Supervisor in the preparation of menus, portion control, and the provision of special dietary meals where appropriate for our elderly clients. You will ensure the highest standards of hygiene and Health & Safety are maintained in the kitchen. Your Skills and Experience (desirable) Experience in working within a kitchen environment. Understanding of specialised diets and basic nutritional needs. Awareness of basic hygiene and Health & Safety requirements. Proficiency in the correct use of kitchen equipment and utensils. We are looking for somebody who is proactive, can work independently and make decisions under pressure, with excellent organisational and team leadership skills.
