Job summary The School Administrator is responsible for the day to day management of the School of Anaesthesia administration office in line with Modernising Medical Careers and supporting the local implementation of the Specialty Training Programme. Looking after the training and educational administration processes for junior anaesthetists in their seven year journey to Consultant level. Accountable to both the off-site School Training Programme Directors; and the College Tutors at UHNM, in providing a professional and confidential service. The School Administrator is the first point of contact for all trainees and Educational Supervisors providing information, advice, guidance and support. In addition, manages all administrative duties including duties specific to the Royal College e-Portfolio, Annual ARCP assessments, School Website, School and Regional Course co-ordination and course accounts. Main duties of the job Key Areas Supporting the School in the provision of a comprehensive service, incorporating planning, organising, ensuring delivery and evaluation of professional teaching activities, training programmes, continuing professional development, induction and skills training for junior doctors and Educational Supervisors in accordance with national guidelines. Providing advice and guidance using knowledge, skills and experience. Working autonomously Administering the annual ARCP (annual assessment) process via the Royal College of Anaesthetists e-Portfolio system. Administration of confidential Junior Doctor's personal files, and electronic storage of their training information. Administration of the Junior Doctor rotation system and forward planning thereof. Budget responsibility for and administration of course accounts. Responsible for the storage and allocation of resuscitation training equipment and Anaesthetic library service.
