Howden, Corporate & Commercial are seeking a detail-orientated multitasker to join us as a Claims Handler. The focus of this role is to manage commercial claims and notifications, through to resolution by providing professional, timely, and courteous service to our clients. Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Bristol office and ideally be onsite for 2 - 3 days per week on average. Overview: Timely and courteous responses to clients, acquiring further details on the claim and discussing the process and strategy going forward Analysing the first report of claims and underlying material to determine coverage Investigating and determining liability, and a strategy for resolution Discussing claims and defense strategy with the Claims Manager and Team Collaborating closely with third party administrators in relation to notifications Providing timely and accurate updates and advice on closed claims, current claims and notifications Knowledge: Must have a minimum of 2 years claims experience, ideally in commercial motor, property, or liability You must have previously worked for a brokerage to be successful for this role Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines well-organised individual, you will demonstrate managing multiple claims and enquiries with ease and enjoy working with different teams within the business to achieve shared success Excellent client service skills combined with good negotiation and broking skills A confident communicator who is passionate about delivering a high level of service to clients Ability to identify and respond appropriately to an individual client’s level of understanding Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Cert CII (desirable for this role) What do we offer in return?
