Job Summary
We are excited to be recruiting a Band 7 Operational and Clinical Team Manager to support our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) and Child Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) services in Torbay and South Devon. The MHST pathway is a growing service covering Devon and Torbay and currently consists of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Child Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs). These teams work in educational settings to provide evidence-based interventions, support mental health awareness, and promote emotional well-being.
As Team Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the MHST and CWP teams, ensuring the effective and high-quality delivery of mental health support. This role requires strong leadership, operational management skills, and a solid understanding of MHST and CWP service delivery.
Main duties of the job
* Lead and manage the MHST and CWP teams, ensuring the smooth and effective running of services.
* Provide line management, supervision, and operational support to clinical staff, supporting professional development and high standards of care.
* Oversee the referral and case allocation process, ensuring timely and appropriate intervention.
* Ensure services are delivered in line with NICE guidelines, national MHST standards, and best practice models.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, CAMHS, and other health and social care professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to children's mental health.
* Monitor team performance and service outcomes, contributing to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
* Support safeguarding and risk management processes, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
* Actively contribute to the development and implementation of whole-school approaches, supporting mental health awareness and resilience in educational settings.
We Offer:
* Regular clinical and managerial supervision, alongside opportunities for professional development.
* A collaborative and supportive team committed to high-quality early intervention.
* A dynamic and evolving role, shaping the future of MHST services in Devon.
If you are a dedicated and motivated leader, passionate about early intervention in children's mental health, we would love to hear from you.
