Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality resident care and ensuring the well-being of the residents.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the assessment and planning of resident needs, delivery of skilled procedures, medication administration, and documentation in accordance with quality management, legislative requirements, and Sienna Senior Living standards.
How You’ll Succeed:
1. Provide Resident Care and Services
o Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
o Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
o Collaborate with residents or their substitute decision makers about their needs and preferences.
o Create, develop, and evaluate plans of care with residents or their substitute decision makers.
2. Provide Supervision, Assistance & Oversight
o Demonstrate a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in nursing care.
o Assist with the development and implementation of community policies and guidelines.
o Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
o Participate in conferences with the interdisciplinary team.
3. Provide Leadership and Guidance
o Act as a role model for nursing team members.
o Participate in and/or deliver in-services and education.
o Teach RPN/LPNs and PSWs in relation to new skills.
o Foster team learning by sharing knowledge among peers.
Who You Are:
* Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
* Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
* Knowledgeable in nursing processes and current trends in geriatric care.
* Compassionate and dedicated to supporting seniors.
* Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
* Demonstrated administrative and computer skills.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs.
* Proficiency in both official languages is an asset.
What You Need to Know:
* Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
* Must successfully pass a TB Screening, Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check.
