As a member of the Credit Senior Leadership Team, you'll ensure our credit products deliver great outcomes for customers, and operate in line with law and regulation.
You'll develop and maintain a clear framework, that empowers teams across Currys to deliver good customer outcomes and operate effective controls.
You'll continually strengthen customer outcome monitoring and improvement processes, cutting through complexity to ensure the right actions are taken across the business.
You'll increase empathy and understanding of the experience for all segments of customers we serve.
Collaborating with the credit team, operations, other business units, external partners and Currys second and third line of defense, you'll agree thresholds and governance model required to ensure regulatory compliance. You'll serve as a key liaison with regulators and our external partners.
You'll be skilled at driving change in a large matrixed organization, and working effectively with partners to execute enhancements.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
* Develop, maintain and continuously refine a clear customer and conduct framework, that gives teams across Currys clarity and confidence in actions required to ensure good customer outcomes
* Strengthen core processes and ensure risks associated with providing credit are understood and effectively controlled, with robust oversight in place
* Build strong relationships across the business that empower other teams to understand their roles in delivering good customer outcomes, and then hold them to account
* Collaborate with operations teams to deliver excellent credit customer experiences
* Maintain an end-to-end view, to ensure in aggregate credit delivers for customers, operates with strong controls and adheres to regulatory standards
* Design and oversee the operating model and governance framework for regulated credit products, including the approval process with our lending partners
You will need:
* Experience with regulated financial products - consumer credit, and retail finance, experience is desirable
* Track record of building exceptional relationships within a matrix organization, including with external partners, and use these to deliver improvements
* Ability to take complex credit concepts and communicate them simply, to audiences at all levels, from the board to frontline colleagues
* A proven leader, with the ability to motivate and secure buy in across a highly matrix organisation, and to develop and coach a direct team to deliver outstanding results
* Proven ability to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into simple, actionable frameworks that drive improvement
