We are seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join our secondary school in central Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality education in Design & Technology. The role requires a start before Christmas, with working hours from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
* Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
* Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive classroom management.
* Use a range of strategies to maximise student achievement and ensure that each student makes significant progress.
* Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others through coaching, mentoring, and sharing of good practice.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
* A strong subject knowledge of Design & Technology curriculum.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
* A commitment to continuous professional development.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
