Job Description:
Reconciliation QA Manager (12 month FTC)
Directly accountable for providing daily quality assurance checks across the VPL Reconciliation Operations. This includes ensuring that all processes are adequately documented, with accurate risks and controls noted on the internal Visa Risk system (GORO), and then testing and collating/uploading evidence to support those controls.
This includes:
1. Safeguarding process and procedures
2. Internal reconciliation processes
3. Mandatory regulatory tasks
4. Ensuring there is a clear audit trail for all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly control checks that have taken place
5. Responsible for creating and proposing remediation/improvement plans for any findings, agreeing with the Director, Reconciliations, and monitoring progress towards target
6. Create and present monthly summaries of the reviews of checks, findings and improvement plans to Head of Payops & Reconciliations
7. Monitor user access to operational permissions across internal and external systems
8. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager
Qualifications
Basic Experience
1. Expertise in FCA Safeguarding regulations, and clear understanding and experience with application of these regulations
2. Testing and challenging control processes, ideally within payments/reconciliations
3. Experience in requirements gathering and implementation of a reconciliations tool
4. Fully/part qualified accountant

3. Ability to understand and articulate a transaction flow through a payments system
4. Be at ease both challenging the status quo and being challenged
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
6. Demonstrate a control mindset
7. Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, maintaining accuracy whilst achieving timescales
8. Working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and Teams
9. Good sense of team spirit and positive attitude
