Location: Ross-on-Wye/Ledbury/Hereford Herefordshire Adult Social Care is looking for an experienced locum Social Worker, with a strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 & the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Experience of completing Safeguarding Enquiries is also essential. You will have the ideas, values and knowledge that ensure that our responses are person-centered, safe and effective with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for the individuals you support. You will also be familiar with a strengths-based approach and able to employ this in supporting clients to maintain independence and build on community networks of support as much as possible. You will work on your own initiative in order to meet the requirements of the assessment and review process, but with regular supervision and support. Excellent communication and written skills are essential. Herefordshire Adult Social Care uses the Mosaic client database so experience with this system would be an advantage, but training will be provided as required. We are currently working a hybrid system of part office/part home-based working. There is a requirement to be able to work face to face in the office in Hereford and be able to travel throughout the county as required. The role also includes being part of a duty rota and sharing this responsibility with colleagues.
