Bettridge School is an all age special school for pupils aged 2-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.

Bettridge is looking to appoint an honest, enthusiastic, reliable and committed individual to fill this post. The post holder will manage the site team, cleaners, premises, maintenance programs and minibuses. The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team is essential.
This is a permanent year round post, Monday – Thursday 7.15am-3.15pm and Friday 7.15am-2.45pm during term time and 8.00am-3.00pm during holiday periods, with some flexibility within those hours to hold weekly cleaner briefings.
The school site must be maintained to a high standard at all times. The post holder will ensure security of the site and be available for emergency call out if needed. The successful applicant will be computer literate, will source products and obtain quotes and provide reports on a regular basis. Good communication is essential with frequent contractors and other professionals visiting the site. The role is physically demanding and includes working both indoors and outdoors so you will need to be fit and healthy. The school has a hydrotherapy pool that requires skilled maintenance, for which training will be given.
You will need good practical, DIY and decorating skills. Site management experience is desirable but not essential.
This is an opportunity for someone who has experience in property maintenance and a willingness to learn as there is a large range of high tech building equipment such as sprinkler systems, under floor heating, electro-magnetic doors, etc.
