Role Overview:
Join Qodea as a Purchase Ledger Clerk and join our highly skilled Finance team within an ambitious and dynamic tech business. In this role, you will be responsible for processing all supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
What you'll do:
1. Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding for all the entities, includes overseas entities and seeking approval where necessary.
2. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
3. Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time including our contractors.
4. Ensuring the bank payments are on the finance system.
5. Responding to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
6. Manage the purchase ledger inbox.
7. Processing and reconciling intercompany invoices for all entities.
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the accounting system.
9. Setting up internal projects on the relevant systems.
10. Process the company credit cards.
11. Assist with the year end audit.
What you’ll need:
1. Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role within a commercial Finance department.
2. Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
3. Strong time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
4. Collaborative team player with experience working across departments to achieve shared goals.
5. Adaptable and agile in dynamic environments.
6. Netsuite experience (desirable but not required).
7. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) System experience (desirable but not required).

How you’ll grow:
Qodea has significant growth plans, and the Finance Team will need to grow in order to cope with the demand that comes with scaling to the extent our ambitious Leadership Team is planning for. There could be scope for the individual we hire to take on new team members in the future. There may also be scope for you to take on more responsibilities and learn new skills if you’re willing and eager to get exposure to other aspects of commercial accounting.
Location:
This role will be on a hybrid basis. Most of our Finance Team is based in Manchester and works from the Manchester office on a fairly regular basis. Though there is no mandatory expectation for the role-holder to work in the office every week, it would be preferable for 1-2 days per week in the office to aid in collaborating with wider team members. We will therefore be prioritising applications from candidates that leave a reasonable commuting distance from Manchester.
Benefits:
1. Competitive salary
2. Private healthcare scheme
3. Company pension
4. Death in Service - 4x annual salary
5. 10 paid learning days per year
6. Regular opportunities for industry recognised training and certifications
