Bookkeeper/Office Administrator | March, PE15 0AR | Full Time, Office-based | 40 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a 30 minute lunch break | £27,000 - £30,000 per annum

They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Administrator to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high levels of bookkeeping and office administration and supporting the team effectively.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Proven successful experience as a bookkeeper or in accounting
* Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with notable experience handling multiple projects and tasks
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to positively interact with staff and clients
* Proficient using common computer operating systems and tools, including Sage Accounting and Microsoft Office Suite programs
* Knowledge of social media and marketing
* Knowledge of good practice relating to Health & Safety Regulations
* Minimum of A-Level Maths
* Excellent IT skills
* Enthusiasm, teamworking skills, resourcefulness, and confidence
* The ability to provide accurate data entry
* Willingness to work extended hours, as needed

What will your role look like?
* Maintain accounting records, bank reconciliations, and accurate entry of supplier invoices into the accounting system while handling supplier invoice queries, chasing credit notes, and managing credit control and new account applications
* Print, post, and email invoices to customers, send monthly statements, and manage the effective chasing of overdue invoices
* Support the preparation, online submission and payment of VAT returns
* Build good relationships with suppliers and clients
* Work closely with Procurement and Sales teams to ensure efficient business administration
* Manage the company's fleet of vehicles, including fuel, insurances, MOT, Taxation, etc
* Balancing cash registers and card transaction records with receipts
* Support the eBay shop by reviewing listings, maintaining inventory, packaging sold items, and advertising products
* Develop and maintain the company filing system, support stock management, and assist with website updates and social media posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
* Monitor and update the Google Business Profile
* Work with management to formulate policies by reviewing activities, determining additional needed policies or processes, and studying trends with the ultimate aim of optimisation of efficiency and profitability
* Provide general administrative support, including managing staff annual leave, assisting with special projects, and performing tasks such as delivering orders or covering absences
* Maintain a safe and clean store environment, protecting employees and customers and complying with health, safety, security, and legal requirements
