Practice Manager duties and responsibilities The Practice Manager will oversee the administrative and business functions of the medical practice. They will also assist in the area of financial management as directed by the GP Partners. The day-to-day duties and responsibilities include: Overseeing daily operations of the practice Recruiting, training and supervising administrative staff such as the medical secretary and receptionists/administrators Organising duty rotas for medical and administrative staff Setting goals and ensuring the practice achieves its financial objectives as directed by the GP Partners Supporting and overseeing the monthly running of the staff payroll Monitoring inventory and ordering new stocks of medication supplies and medical equipment Managing patient records and IT systems and addressing customer complaints or concerns Overseeing the areas of the Quality and Outcomes Framework and ensuring continued high achievement and excellent patient care Ensuring that all Enhanced Services to which the practice are signed-up are actively pursued and offered to patients, ensuring that clinical record entries are made via national templates Ensuring that contractual requirements are met Ensuring that NHS England, CQC, health and safety and employment-related regulations are adhered to Ensuring that the Practice is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules
