Brendoncare are looking for BANK Catering Assistants to join our care home in Otterbourne, Hampshire. Everyone loves good food and good company and in this role you get to provide both. Food is central to the happiness and well-being of the people that live in our services. You will be working as part of a team undertaking general kitchen duties including food preparation, washing up, serving or cleaning in order to support the needs of the catering team and ensuring that food is stored in the correct environment and at the correct temperature, rotating stocks as required and to comply with “use by” and “best before” dates. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has a natural affinity with older people and is keen to assist residents with meal choices, supporting the catering team in making each meal an event. Your enthusiasm will be infectious and residents will look forward to your visits as much as they do the refreshments that you bring them. You will need to have had previous experience of working as part of a team, and it is desirable that you hold a Basic Hygiene Certificate. What can we offer?
