Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust
Responsibilities:
* Securing main and subsidiary venues for events
* Curating event content and style to meet a brief and agreed outcomes
* Securing and liaising with event sponsors and advertisers
* Identifying and booking freelance speakers/workshop leaders/facilitators/entertainers, as required
* Liaising with marketing to create marketing collateral, publish and promote events
* Overseeing participant call-out and selection, including casting breakdowns where required
* Liaising with event participants and creatives to confirm logistics and answer queries
* Specifying technical requirements and liaising with technical teams
* Ensuring appropriate staffing for every event
* Carrying out appropriate risk assessment for every event
* Ensuring that appropriate safeguarding protections are built into every event
* Scheduling, leading and minuting event steering meetings and rehearsals
* Determining event timings and overseeing logistics
* Overseeing all event administration, including guest and attendee lists, in-house printing, contact details, procurement, thank yous, and managing freelance administrators
* Ensuring that events are documented with photography/videography/blogs etc.
* Project managing events on the day, including any get-in and get-out
* Ensuring that appropriate feedback is collected and collated after any event
* Supporting Masterclass’ wider operations and regular programme
* Optionally – facilitating events
Skills and Experience Required
Experience:
* Significant experience in event management, theatre producing or stage management
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
* Good understanding of the UK theatre industry and offstage roles, and a passion for live theatre
* A strong interest in creating access and opportunity for young people in the theatre industry
* A commitment to inclusive practice
* Exceptional powers of forward-planning, organisation, coordination and multi-tasking
* Fanatical attention to accuracy and detail
* Strong powers of persuasion and a good dose of charm
* Ability to remain calm and collaborative under pressure
* Good written and verbal communication
* Ability to work sensitively with a wide range of colleagues, beneficiaries, supporters, VIPs and clients
* Happy working as part of a small, dynamic, collaborative team
* Knowledge of Masterclass and experience of its programme
* Training in a theatre-related discipline and/or experience of making theatre
