We are searching for a dedicated SEMH LSA to join our fantastic secondary schools in Wickford. In this role, you will be more than just a classroom assistant—you’ll be a mentor, a motivator, and a crucial support system for students who need it most.
What Will You Be Doing as an SEMH LSA?
Inspire and Empower – Support students in overcoming emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them build confidence and resilience.
Tailored Learning Support – Adapt teaching materials and learning strategies to meet each student’s unique needs.
Build Strong Relationships – Act as a trusted mentor, helping students feel valued and supported in their learning journey.
️ Manage Behaviour Positively – Use effective de-escalation techniques to create a calm and productive learning environment.
Be a Voice for Students – Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure each student gets the best possible support.
Who Are We Looking For?
✔️ Someone with experience as an SEMH LSA, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
✔️ A person with natural empathy, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
✔️ Someone who understands the challenges of SEMH and knows how to manage behaviour positively.
✔️ A strong communicator who can work closely with students, staff, and parents.
✔️ Most importantly, someone who wants to change lives for the better!
