Specific responsibilities: The post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships within the Trust and be able to demonstrate the ability to take personal accountability for own workload. Identify problems and issues regarding service needs and effect timely and effective solutions within their own sphere of responsibility. Answer all telephone calls promptly and efficiently ensuring messages are relayed as appropriate and ensuring all calls are also picked up from your colleagues extensions if they are unavailable. To be the first point of contact for temporary workers and to handle the telephone bookings via the computer system and ensure that staff are contacted whenever possible to ensure a fast and efficient service to the Trust. Respond to requests from bank and agency staff and accurately record requests for cover from departments, wards, matrons and managers within the Trust. Update internal service users regularly in regard to cover request progress or any changes to requirements. Book bank and agency workers in line with agree booking processes, policies and authorisation arrangements. Support the temporary staff recruitment process, in line with Trust policies and procedures. Assist in the completion of payroll documentation such as new starter forms, termination forms, payroll reports and undertaking actions as required.
