Stress Engineer
Location: Brsitol UK
Type: Full-Time onsite, Inside IR35, 12-month contract
About the Role
Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Static Stress Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Bristol, UK.
As a Static Stress Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the stress analysis of wing structures. This dynamic position involves investigating potential design improvements, supporting trade studies, and documenting static justifications for modifications and risk assessments of in-service occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Production & Collation: Gather and analyze data to perform trade studies and impact analysis, including RF mitigations.
2. Static Stress Analysis: Conduct thorough static stress analysis of fixed wing structures using PMTs.
3. Certification Dossiers: Compile comprehensive static stress certification dossiers for both composite and metallic materials.
4. Dossier Approval: Pre-approve or approve dossiers if you are a delegated signatory.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Wing teams to ensure seamless integration and communication.
6. Progress Reporting: Regularly report progress to the Delivery Team Leader.
7. Functional Reporting: Report functionally to the Senior/Lead Stress on the Work Package.
Essential Skills:
8. Proven experience in an aerospace environment.
9. Prior experience working with relevant organizations.
10. Hands-on experience in airframe certification analysis and in-service support.
11. Strong problem-solving skills for analysis solutions.
12. Ability to meet delivery plans and report on deliverable progress.
Desirable Skills:
13. Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
14. Delegated signatory status.
15. Proficiency in Nastran, Hyperworks, Python scripting, and ISAMI.
16. Knowledge of wing structures.
