You will be ensuring the building fabrics, fixtures and fittings in all areas of the casino are maintained to a high standard and in safe, working order. Key skills and responsibilities include: Mechanical skills (small plumbing, drainage, toilet maintenance and repair). Joinery skills (light carpentry). Painting and decorating. Completing regular repairs and general maintenance works. Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Outlook and some light Excel use) Keeping repair and maintenance records up to date for the casino. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations. Reporting building/machinery faults to management for escalation to the nominatedcontractor. Reporting health and safety outages and where applicable fixing these with the view to preventing future occurrences. Supporting the hospitality department with the deliveries and cleaning of catering equipment. Liaising with third-party, nominated contractors when work cannot be self-delivered. A team player with good communication skills. A strong knowledge of safety standards. The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Proficient in working alone as well as part of a team. Flexible with a positive attitude towards change. Desired skills, but not essential include: IOSH Working Safely. Legionella awareness. IPAF/PASMA qualification. Electrical qualification e.g. City & Guilds 2391, NVQ level 3 or 18th Edition. First aid. Familiarity with RAMS and relevance to site works where applicable. Being flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including night shifts and weekends.
