Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester City Centre who are looking for an Employment Lawyer to join their team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing for employment tribunal cases, including preparation of Claim/Response, Employment Tribunal Applications etc
* Advocacy in employment tribunals
* Providing day to day support to HR teams as an integral member of the client's service delivery team
* HR project work on restructurings, redundancies and TUPE
* Drafting correspondence to the Employment Tribunal, opposing Solicitors, witnesses, ACAS, client advice.
* General advice - e. conduct of disciplinary investigations; grievance procedures; redundancy programmes; general queries about flexible working, maternity rights, paternity rights, etc.
* Corporate support
The successful candidate:
At least two years of employment law experience in a commercial practiceStrong technical and market knowledgeExperience providing strategic employment law adviceHandling complex employment tribunal claimsDealing with cross-border issuesExperience in restructuring and redundancy mattersManaging complex grievances at a senior level, including discrimination and whistleblowing complaintsHandling senior executive/boardroom issuesStrong academic backgroundTechnically strong with excellent legal knowledgeCommercially aware with an understanding of large international firmsTeam player with excellent communication skillsDesire to help grow the team and contribute to cross-office initiatives
