Role Overview
We are seeking a Employment Solicitor with a minimum of five years’ post-qualification experience to join our client's highly regarded employment team.
The firm's employment team represents a broad range of clients, from listed corporations to mid-market and emerging businesses, advising on all aspects of employment law and HR best practices. Known for our pragmatic and commercial approach, we deliver our services in a creative and supportive manner.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for a lawyer with:
* A minimum of 3PQE in employment law (strong respondent experience)
* Relevant experience in a leading regional or City practice
* Confidence in client-facing roles
* Strong technical skills, including drafting, presentation, and research
* IT literacy and the ability to work well under pressure
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong employment lawyer seeking responsibility, client contact, and the opportunity to advise on a broad range of client issues, primarily from an employer perspective. This role will particularly interest those looking for a modern approach to client support, providing consultative employment/HR advice, and joining a department with growth and development aspirations.
Recent Projects
The team's recent projects includes a mix of advisory, contentious, and transactional matters, predominantly on behalf of businesses/respondents. Some key projects in the last year include:
* Implementation and design of a new pay and grading structure
* Workforce restructure and redundancy exercises
* Design and delivery of a management and leadership programme
* Management of disciplinary, grievance, and performance procedures
* Management of TUPE transfer arrangements
