Salary: £15.62* per hour (*on successful completion of training)
Position: Service Technician Exeter
If you’re a mechanic or interested in becoming one, but don’t yet have the experience or qualifications, then we may have just the job for you!
Customers rely on our services to get them to work, to the high street, to hospitals, to days away and nights out – and as part of our engineering team, you’ll be a key part in making sure our vehicles are in tip-top condition to do just that. It’s a really important role within our depot, so we’ll make sure you’re looked after as well as our vehicles.
You will be part of a team maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses and coaches, which include Dennis, Volvo, Scania, and Optare. Don’t worry if you’ve not worked on these vehicles before (or indeed buses) – we’ll train you on everything you need to know. You’ll be supported by a great team of fellow Technicians and Engineering Managers who all pull together to do a brilliant job. You don’t have to come from a bus background (but we wouldn’t be put off if you did either!), but you will need to have an interest in working in an engineering technician field – if you like mucking in, then this may be the job for you.
Benefits include:
1. Free bus travel for you and your immediate family
2. 25 days holiday a year
3. A company pension scheme
4. Job security
5. A great regular income, promotions, training guaranteed
6. 39 hours plus opportunity for overtime
