Role Overview This position involves setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines on high-spec defense contracts. Training is provided for approximately 8 weeks on the day shift, with an eventual transition to a night shift. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to meet high precision standards. Achieve exact tolerances using Renishaw probes and hand measuring tools. Support deadlines, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production timelines. Perform basic machine maintenance and complete required paperwork for traceability. Edit CNC programs using Heidenhain or Haas control systems. Essential Skills & Experience Apprentice-trained CNC Setter/Operator. Competence in Heidenhain iTNC 640 and Haas G-code systems. Skilled in working with materials such as carbon and stainless steel. Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and adhering to quality standards. Desirable Skills Experience with various metals, CNC programming, and knowledge of Solidworks & Solidcam.
