What You'll Do
1. Support the Month-End Close: Assist with preparing month-end accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
2. Maintain Financial Records: Keep balance sheet accounts up-to-date with proper documentation and ensure strong internal controls.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with the accounting team on reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
4. Cash Flow Management: Contribute to daily bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and treasury activities.
5. Asset Management: Manage all aspects of CAPEX accounting, including the Asset Register, depreciation, and asset additions.
6. Expense Management: Oversee contractor accruals, process employee expense data, and ensure compliance with VAT and company policies.
7. Timesheet Management: Maintain weekly timesheet compliance for accuracy and completeness.
8. Reporting & Analysis Support: Assist the Senior Commercial Reporting Accountant in collecting and processing data for monthly reports and analysis.
9. Year-End & Audit Support: Contribute to year-end preparation and provide ongoing support during the audit.
10. Project Involvement: Participate in special projects to support Group Finance initiatives.
Who You Are
11. A detail-oriented individual with strong organisational skills.
12. Eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a plus).
14. Experience with accounting principles and financial systems preferred.
