Main duties of the job
The Pharmacy Logistics team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with warehouse or supervisory experience to join our expanding service. We seek a well-organized individual to help evolve our sterile fluids & feeds services. The role involves maintaining the daily workload to meet time restraints and organizing the fluid & feed area to maximize space. This job is physically demanding, involving lifting fluids & feeds up to 20kg per box and is repetitive. Daily tasks include liaising with other hospital teams such as distribution operatives and dieticians to meet demand. Qualifications / Training Required
Essential
1. NVQ 2 in Pharmacy or other Level 2 approved GPhC qualification for pharmacy support staff or equivalent experience
2. Supervisory qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience of supervision
Desirable
1. 2 GCSE's or equivalent grades A* - C or 4-9 in English and Maths (If qualifications were gained outside the UK, evidence of equivalent standards must be demonstrated at interview)
2. Other healthcare qualifications
3. GCSEs in science-based or other role-specific relevant subjects
Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
Essential
1. Use of information technology in the workplace or within education or the voluntary sector
2. Standard keyboard skills
3. Previous pharmacy experience (hospital or community) or supervisory experience
Desirable
1. Previous experience in health or social care (if not pharmacy)
2. Experience in stock control, receiving, maintaining, and/or issuing stock
