My client is a long established, leading, regional Civil Engineering Contractor.
Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Site Agent.
The ideal candidate will be based around Hampshire, Berkshire, or Wiltshire.
The company has a continued annual turnover in excess of £100m and delivers projects in the following sectors:
* Highways and Bridges
* Earthworks and remediation
* Ministry of Defence Works
* Development Infrastructure
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
2. Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
3. Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments, and project management plans.
4. Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
5. Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
6. Understand and administer contract changes.
7. Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
8. Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
9. Promote and ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Already experienced as a Sub Agent or a Site Agent.
2. Relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent.
3. Up-to-date SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card.
4. First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
5. Experience managing civil engineering projects with a main contractor including Highways works, Earthworks, and Structures.
6. Experienced in people management and motivation of staff.
7. A good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advance.
8. Eligible to live and work in the UK.
9. Full UK driving license is essential and willingness to travel throughout our Southern Region.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject matter.
2. Extensive experience from an Engineer upwards of Civil Engineering Projects.
3. First Aid Trained.
4. SMSTS.
