About the Role: This position reports directly to the Head of Global Physical Security Services (GPSS) and will be responsible for all operational, physical matters in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) geographic region. The position will implement GPSS security programs, policies and best practices, as well as develop security initiatives and enhancements, to ensure the security of company facilities, assets and information, and the safety of company employees. The position will further entail risk assessment, incident management, and regulatory compliance and due diligence. The position must be able to perform work independently and in collaboration with the broader, global GPSS team and business executives, managers and partners across the enterprise. The Key Responsibilities of the Role include: Identify internal and external areas of vulnerability and conduct regular risk assessments. Administer GPSS policies and practices over the entire EMEA region. Manage the travel security program for partners engaged in global business travel. Lead the EMEA Security Control Centre team and oversee the performance of its functions. Develop and implement the corporate emergency response plan to prepare for all forms of physical threats to the company and its personnel. Support third party vendor assessments, including the review their security programs. Manage security vendor relationships and contract negotiations to ensure optimal services and related pricing. Monitor threat intelligence platforms and disseminate critical information to key stakeholders. Provide guidance and recommendations to the Head of GPSS regarding the development of strategic direction and initiatives related to security operations, programs, and projects. Ensure the application of physical security standards to office acquisitions, expansions and renovations. Develop and foster internal relationships within the business units to ensure the inclusion of security best practices into business operations. Establish and maintain a communication network within the law enforcement, diplomatic security, and corporate security communities. Formulate and manage annual operational and capital expenditure plans. Lead and oversee the performance of GPSS team in Ireland. Manages the procurement process for new security services contracts. Respond to due diligence requests related to our physical security programs from company clients. Oversee the authorization of access to restricted areas. Act as the lead physical security subject matter expert on the Local Incident Response Team. Skills/ Experience Required: College degree in relevant area of study preferred. Several years of military, law enforcement, and/or corporate security or risk management experience. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification desired. Chartered Security Professional (CSP) status desired.Demonstrable written, verbal, organization and analytical skills. Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various business units and across diverse cultures. Strong knowledge of corporate security practices and risk assessment and mitigation methodologies. Proficient knowledge of technical security systems. Membership in American Society for Industrial Security, Overseas Security Advisory Council, The Security Institute or similar professional affiliation. Must be able to travel within the EMEA region.
