Get ready to launch your Engineering career with our customised 15 month training programme! You'll rotate through exciting placements that are designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. Experience the hands-on work across our Nuclear new build sites.

Training, development, and support for you
* We're committed to your growth, offering a tailored training path to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* You’ll contribute to different projects throughout the programme, including:
o Developing human-machine interfaces for power station operators at Hinkley Point C
o Reviewing the design of replacement protection equipment on our existing nuclear fleet
o Developing the technical and safety justifications for power station equipment to extend its life or change its operational regime
o Hands-on trouble-shooting with site technical teams
o Supporting software assurance and cyber security reviews and audits
Our Science and Engineering Programme includes protected training time for courses covering nuclear fundamentals, EPR (European Pressurised Reactor) systems, communications and health & safety.
Our Programme is accredited with a number of professional institutions, and we’ll support you to gain chartership with the relevant professional body:
* Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
* Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA)
* Institute of Physics (IoP)
* The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)
* The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
* Institute for Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA)
* Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)
* The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)
You’ll have mentors and industry experts to give you advice along the way and help you with decisions about your future career path.
Your work location
Throughout the programme, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of our sites, immersing yourself in the diversity of our business.
The main locations you could be based at are:
* Gloucester Business Park, Gloucester
* Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater
* Sizewell C, Suffolk
* Any one of our Operating Stations
Please note this programme is rotational in its nature, so you will be required to move around. But don’t worry - we’ve got you covered with practical and financial support every step of the way.
Who you are
To join our team you’ll need a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree or a 2:2 Postgraduate Degree (obtained or expected) in Engineering, Science or a related subject.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in nuclear energy, the power generation industry and technology with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, whilst being keen to solve technical problems.
Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
