As Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategies that amplify brand awareness, fuel lead generation, and contribute to revenue growth. You will work closely with our senior leadership team across all functions and geographies to align marketing initiatives with our company’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategy Development: Create and implement an impactful marketing and communication strategy that supports ASCO’s growth objectives and aligns with our group-level strategy.
2. Brand Growth: Elevate brand awareness and market positioning across diverse sectors and geographies.
3. Customer Engagement: Drive customer acquisition and retention through targeted, high-impact marketing campaigns.
4. Team Leadership: Inspire and lead the marketing team, fostering a sense of excitement and unity around the ASCO brand.
5. Market Insights: Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand competitive positioning and identify opportunities and threats.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to ensure a consistent, cohesive approach to marketing across all touchpoints.
7. Internal Communications: Effectively manage internal communications to support a strong, positive company culture.
Leadership and Collaboration:
1. Lead with Vision: Inspire and guide the marketing team, both directly and through influence, to drive exceptional results in this critical discipline.
2. Empower the Business: Educate and engage the broader organization on the significant role marketing plays in achieving business success.
3. Champion HSSEQ Culture: Be a visible and proactive leader in promoting a positive, safety-first HSSEQ culture throughout the company.
4. Represent ASCO Externally: Act as a senior ambassador for ASCO, fostering strong relationships with key external stakeholders.
5. Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with colleagues across all departments to ensure alignment and achieve ASCO’s strategic goals.
6. Develop Future Leaders: Cultivate and mentor marketing talent, ensuring a strong pipeline for future leadership and long-term success.
Strategy:
1. Lead Strategy Development: Take full ownership of the Group Marketing and Communications strategy, ensuring it aligns with ASCO’s growth ambitions and market positioning.
2. Drive Global Implementation: Execute the strategy across all markets and geographies, adapting to local needs while maintaining a consistent global brand presence.
3. Own the Brand Evolution: Manage and refine the ASCO brand strategy, overseeing its comprehensive refresh in collaboration with external agencies to elevate brand equity.
4. Support Strategic Communication: Work closely with the ASCO Management Board to document and effectively communicate the Group's strategy and objectives, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization.
Growth:
1. Partner with Business Development: Collaborate closely with Business Development teams across the Group to create impactful collateral and support materials that effectively communicate ASCO’s value proposition to diverse stakeholders.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours):
1. Experience: Extensive senior marketing leadership experience in a B2B environment, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors. Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that drive business success.
2. Leadership: A credible and influential leader, adept at engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Serve as the face of marketing within the Group, inspiring confidence and collaboration across teams.
3. Expertise: Deep academic and practical understanding of strategic marketing in a B2B context, with a strong commitment to staying current on the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in the field.
4. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven ability to think creatively and take initiative, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities that advance the Group’s objectives and drive growth.
5. Responsiveness: Proactively support both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met with a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A degree in Marketing or a related field.
2. A valid UK driving license.
