An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Procurement Buying Service Manager. This position involves leading a small procurement team with the aim of identifying and establishing relationships with suppliers or vendors who can provide the required goods or services for low-value procurements. Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building on Liverpool’s waterfront. Key responsibilities: As Procurement Buying Service Manager, you will maintain cost effectiveness whilst ensuring quality standards The role of Procurement Buying Service Manager will ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant legal frameworks, procurement strategy, relevant policies, and Liverpool City Council’s Contract Standing Orders The post holder, as Procurement Buying Service Manager, will asses and mitigate risks associated with low-value procurements The post holder will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline and improve the efficiency of the procurement process for lower value purchases As Procurement Buying Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development of local supply chains, including SMEs and the VCSE sector A bit about us: Liverpool is home to vibrant, energetic, and engaged communities, people who take real ownership of their local area and are passionate about making our city a better place.
