The team is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of all Adult Social Care person specific spend and income collection per the Council's annual review of charges report to Cabinet and the Care Act 2014. In addition, they process the administration of Deferred Payment applications, financial monitoring of Direct Payment accounts and all Income and Debt collection relating to Adult Social Care.
As a Provider Finance Manager, you will be accountable for managing all person specific payments made to suppliers and individuals in the delivery of Care and Support Services for Adult Social Care payments. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing two teams.
2. Overseeing the accurate and timely payments of all Adult Social Care person specific spend.
3. Financial monitoring of Direct Payments.
4. Maintaining and analysing performance data and ensuring the team's compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
5. Conducting rigorous system checks and balances regularly while maintaining thorough documentation of checks to demonstrate best practice and meet Audit requirements.
6. Working closely with the Customer Finance Manager to ensure coherent processes are in place.
Our ideal candidate will hold a finance qualification, such as AAT Level 4 or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience in a finance environment. You will have substantial experience, knowledge, and understanding of Adult Social Care finance legislations and systems, including payments and income. Experience operating at both strategic and operational management levels, with responsibilities that include systems maintenance, development, and performance management will be essential.
