Construction Manager - Highways
About the Role:
Unite People are currently recruiting on behalf of our tier 1 civil engineering client, who are looking for a skilled Construction Manager to lead and manage all aspects of project delivery, on a flagship highways scheme.
Your responsibilities will include planning and scheduling, managing teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and manage project plans and schedules to meet deadlines and budgets.
* Lead the project team and supply chain to deliver work safely, on time, and to a high standard.
* Oversee subcontractors, ensuring progress and performance align with project goals.
* Ensure all work complies with safety and sustainability regulations.
* Work closely with design teams and consultants to meet project needs.
* Manage resources and staffing for the project.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, handling changes and decisions effectively.
Required Skills:
* Experience in Construction Management, preferably in highways or a related field.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Financial awareness to manage budgets and project costs.
* Commitment to safety and sustainability.
* Valid CSCS card.
