What You'll Be Doing As a Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities include: Driving New Business : Identify and establish new business opportunities within your regional area. Retailer Support : Provide on-site training and account management support to help retailers maximise their potential. Sales Growth : Promote and drive sales of extended warranties and care kits within and beyond your territory as opportunities arise. Account Management : Manage and develop relationships with specific retailers, as directed by the Head of Business Development. What We Expect from You Proactive Business Development : Consistently seek out and secure new business opportunities within the defined region and beyond as required. Sales Growth : Drive the growth of policy numbers and care solution product sales by leveraging a strategic and results-oriented approach. Product Promotion : Promote and sell internal products effectively within regional accounts to achieve revenue targets. Strategic Implementation : Execute strategies developed with the Head of Business Development, to meet policy, gross profit, and kit volume objectives. Prioritisation for Impact : Strategically prioritise efforts within your region to maximise policy and kit sales. New Retailer Onboarding : Facilitate the successful setup and launch of new retailers, ensuring smooth integration and alignment with business goals. Training Leadership : Deliver comprehensive training on warranty, care, protection, and electrical warranty products to retail staff at all levels. Tailored Training Solutions : Identify individual retailer training needs and provide bespoke training modules to address those requirements effectively. Account Management : Manage relationships with furniture retailers to strengthen partnerships and drive growth. Expansion Opportunities : Lead new business development efforts for Retail Warranties and Care Solutions, including non-furniture markets. Activity Documentation : Maintain accurate records of training sessions, reporting regularly to your line manager in the agreed format. Customer-Centric Focus : Ensure alignment with the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles by fostering a culture of fairness and accountability, supporting the Continuous Customer Model, including culture, product design, communication, customer service and continuous improvement. Key Skills and Competencies Training Design and Delivery : Extensive experience in designing and delivering impactful training to retail managers and sales staff. Sales and Business Development : Proven success in securing new business, with demonstrable experience in growing revenue and achieving targets. Strategic Planning and Territory Management : Strong skills in planning, prioritising, and managing regional territories to optimise performance. Relationship Building : Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with Senior Management, Store Managers, Training Managers, and Buyers. Organisational Skills : Expertise in managing multiple priorities, ensuring timely delivery of objectives. Communication and Influence : Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to train and inspire diverse audiences.
