North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Recruitment Officer to join our busy team.
The role involves using an applicant tracking system (TRAC), dealing with candidates and managers, progressing job offers, conducting background checks as well as attending recruitment events. An agile approach is required in order to meet the fluctuating demands of the different stages of the recruitment process.

Main duties of the job
Our ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, experience of working in a busy team, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads effectively including working to tight deadlines.
A high degree of accuracy is required for the role and a knowledge or keen interest in HR processes and equality and diversity will be useful. You will need to be a strong communicator (verbal and written) as the role will require you to liaise with all levels of staff, newly appointed recruits and potential candidates. Absolutely essential is a good IT packages knowledge (Word/Excel etc.).
The role will require you to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, liaising with Recruiting Managers throughout the organisation to ensure successful candidates are processed efficiently and accurately. You will be part of a supportive and proactive team who are responsible for administering our end to end recruitment process (following detailed procedures in line NHS Employer standards and best practice) from advertising vacancies through to carrying out pre-employment checks and issuing employment contracts. You will be committed to ensuring all candidates receive an excellent service and demonstrating our Trust values and behaviours at all times.

* NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent qualification or knowledge
Knowledge
* Understanding of administrative processes and systems in a busy environment
* Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
* Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions of Service
* Knowledge of right to work principles
* Knowledge of ESR and NHS Jobs and how they support recruitment in the NHS
* Recruitment processes
* NHS Standards related to recruitment, i.e. pre-employment checks
