Field Service Engineer - Glaston Compressor Services LTD
Is your day successful if you can keep machines running and if customers are satisfied? As a Field Service Engineer, do you enjoy having a team of colleagues that look after your daily planning and support you remotely when facing more complex technical issues? Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will work as part of a team for your designated region.
The role:
* Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on all brands of air compressors, dryers, gas generators, and ancillary equipment. Preventative maintenance will also be conducted.
* Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
* Document all work performed daily using company-provided hardware and software.
* Develop relationships with customers.
* Provide basic tools to accomplish the job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
* Develop skills in VSD's, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
* Respond to customer needs and work to satisfy customer expectations.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be able to work overtime on short notice.
* Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
* Work as a team, sharing knowledge with colleagues and participating in training of self and others.
* Contribute to positive company branding by maintaining a professional and customer-oriented image.
* Take appropriate actions as required.
To succeed, you will need:
* Previous experience in an industrial electrical or mechanical position.
* Mechanical or electrical qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Full UK driving license – with less than 4 points.
* Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
* Flexibility to participate in the call-out rota.
* Willingness to work on-site and travel throughout your region.
