I’m looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our client's team in Edinburgh or Glasgow. This role works closely with the HR/Finance function, as well as external payroll providers to ensure smooth and accurate payroll processing.
Payroll Assistant | Edinburgh/Glasgow
As the Payroll Assistant, you'll be responsible for managing the monthly payroll process, ensuring compliance, and producing reports for the wider teams. You’ll also be the main point of contact between HR and Finance on payroll and budget matters, helping to streamline processes and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee monthly payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate processing
2. Maintain strong relationships with external payroll provider
3. Generate monthly payroll reports for the Finance team
4. Ensure payroll records are correct and up-to-date
5. Update payroll procedures and share changes with HR and Finance
6. Provide monthly payroll cost analysis to monitor budgets and staff movements
What you’ll need:
1. Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax, pensions, and statutory procedures
2. Experience in payroll/similar role
3. Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
4. Excellent organisational skills
