This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a global strategic transformation programme as our client looks to replace its existing ERP across multiple locations. As the IT Testing Manager, you will take full ownership of the testing from plan to execution, ensuring a smooth transition. This is an ongoing programme with between 3 and 6 years of work in the pipeline.

In this role, you will design and execute the testing of a new ERP system as it is introduced across the organisation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Test Strategy and Planning:
1. In conjunction with our client's ERP supplier, develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and organisational goals.
2. Define the scope, objectives, and schedule for testing activities, ensuring that all testing processes adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Execution and Monitoring:
1. Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, penetration, and vulnerability testing.
2. Ensure that all test results are accurately documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
3. Identify, track, and manage defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
4. Manage and maintain test environments.
Collaboration and Communication:
1. Work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of testing requirements and deliverables.
2. Act as the testing workstream lead into the global ERP programme, providing plans to project managers in collaboration with other workstream leads, identifying dependencies, risks, and ensuring milestones are achieved.
3. Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
1. Ensure that all testing activities meet the organisation's quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
2. Design, implement, and continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Drive the adoption of automated testing where appropriate.
Risk Management:
1. Identify potential risks related to testing and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Ensure that any critical defects are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
This programme requires an experienced Test Manager who has experience in integration testing on large programmes. You will be methodical, thorough, and calm. You will be a strong communicator and willing to visit the sites where implementations will happen to build relationships.
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 plus bonus and benefits.
