Taliesin Residential Home is looking for for full and part-time Care Assistants.
Working as part of our Care Team is a rewarding and fulfilling role and we are looking for people who are kind, caring and committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our residents. As a Care Assistant, you will be supporting with personal hygiene, general support, medication administration, general care, contact with other professionals, activities of daily living, record keeping and social well being. You will be expected to take part in the care review and support that follows the 'Resident of the Day' approach. This will include a Key worker scheme and a thorough review of care documentation and risk assessments. As Taliesin is a small home, you may be asked to support other roles in the team such as domestic, activities, kitchen etc., but always with the care for our residents as our main focus. At Taliesin it is important that every member of the team collaborates to create a homely environment for our residents, for any visitors in the home and a great work environment for all employees.
We are looking for experienced care assistants with a QCF/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. We will provide you with training to further develop your skills along with the support and guidance of a well established team, which you will be a fundamental part of. Previous experience within a care home or care environment is required, along with some experience in writing / updating care documentation, risk assessments and care plans.

Specialising in residential care for the elderly, the owner has been running Taliesin since 1990. With a focus of creating a comfortable, homely environment for all of our 18 residents, our ethos is to deliver the best person-centred care to all our residents.
Taliesin is situated centrally in the heart of Tonypandy and the home is located next to the high street, river and train station. This enables variety for activities for residents and easy access to the home for staff. Taliesin has a lovely garden and residents are encouraged to use the shared space as their own home.
You may be required to work some weekends.
